Hallasan (Korean: 한라산) is a shield volcano comprising much of Jeju Island in South Korea. Its summit, at 1,947 m (6,388 ft), is the highest point in the country. The area around the mountain is a designated national park, named Hallasan National Park.

After years of not hiking Hallasan (한라산), I’ve finally done it. I’ve hiked South Korea’s tallest mountain and not only did I hike it, I did two different trails going up to and down from the summit so I could give you all the most complete guide possible.
