Mar 4, 2025 · San Mateo County voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved Measure A, allowing the county Board of Supervisors to fire Sheriff Christina Corpus, who is accused of widespread abuse of power.. Measure A got 85.2% of the vote, or 78,319 to 13,583. The measure needed a majority vote to pass. The turnout was 20.7% in the special election that had only one question on the ballot.
