May 9, 2022 · So I gave in to the hype and ordered an orange Hellcat rod, Medium power. Very nice rod, as it should be for the price tag ($146.95 with shipping after a 10% discount code). I love the orange color and admittedly that's what got me to try one. Rated 1-6 oz and I have no doubt it will cast that much.

Mar 30, 2023 · The bucket didn't budge and it was a fight getting the rod out of the rod holder on such a steep angle. It ended up being a 5-pound hybrid bass. Those fish sure can fight. I have complete confidence in this setup, but as usual, I will probably test it out on some carp first at the local park. Really it's just an excuse to go carp fishing.

Sep 14, 2022 · It’s a little stiffer than other medium actions like say TWC whisker whip but lighter than any medium heavy rods out there. I need to catch more fish with it to give a full opinion on it but it’s a well built rod. Think mines broken though it rarely gets a bite haha!

Aug 28, 2006 · Honestly, it works unbelievably well. I bought the white reflective tape at my local farm & ranch store, and it came in 2" strips that were 2 feet long. I just cut about 7 or 8 pieces that were 2"X1" and wrapped them around my fishing pole. I put 7 or 8 pieces on each pole so that I can see the top 2 feet or so of the rod well in the dark.

Jul 31, 2021 · Like a fairly fast tip on pretty much everything whit exception for a ultra light crappie spinning rod! The problem of selection one rod for cats is they come from 10" bull heads to 100+lb blues and flatheads! If your fishing for channels you certainly won't need the same equipment you might need for blues and flatheads.
