Nov 6, 2023 · If grab the stream URL from client.log and open it directly in VLC media player, the CNBC stream works without freezing. I don't even need to have the app running. The downside is the URL changes every day. The small video player in the app is VLC.

That said, CNBC is the best financial news you'll find on TV. The other news networks have their own business programming or even an entire channel, but they try to emulate what CNBC does because it's the best. The only issue many have with CNBC is Jim Cramer who is the big star of the network, but some take issue with his stock advice.

Dec 11, 2023 · I only watched CNBC because of the dual ticker crawlers. Now they took that away and blind you with huge amounts of white space and tiny fonts. Almost totally unreadable with the gold font color. What they had before was very easy to read. This is just irritating. Typical change for change’s sake and a huge move backwards.

CNBC can make a deal to run ads for free but share in the profits if the advertising creates revenue, which is difficult to measure but can be done. Complain to your TV Provider service, or get use another device to stream or watch TV content, but don't expect it to change.
