May 7, 2024 · Unilever appeared in 1929, but for the first 38 years, there was virtually no corporate identity. In 1967, the staff of the Design Research Unit created a logo that showed the Dutch and British basis of the company – the two pillars on which the whole structure is based.

Dec 1, 2011 · “Naturally, the big blue ‘U’ of our logo stands for Unilever. But look a little closer and you’ll see there’s much more to it.” Unilever appointed Wolff Olins to help create a new brand identity for the company, with the intention of clearly expressing it’s “vitality mission.”

Despite having been founded in 1929, Unilever adopted its first corporate logo in 1967; consisting of two vertical arrows which formed the letter U resembling twin towers, as well as text in a serif font.
