The Trail of the Whispering Giants is a collection of sculptures by American artist Peter Wolf Toth. [1][2] The sculptures range in height from 20 to 40 feet (6.1 to 12.2 m), and are between 8 and 10 feet (2.4 and 3.0 m) in diameter. [3] .

Peter Wolf Toth (born December 1947) is an American sculptor. Born in Hungary, Toth immigrated to the United States and settled in Akron, Ohio. He later studied art at Ohio University. He created a series of sculptures called Trail of the Whispering Giants to honor Native Americans.

Chief Kno-Tah was a wooden statue located in Shute Park in Hillsboro in the U.S. state of Oregon. Carved by Peter Wolf Toth, it was the 56th Native American head in his Trail of the Whispering Giants series. The 25-foot (7.6 m) tall, 250,000-pound (110,000 kg) statue was the first of two carved by Toth in Oregon.

Peter Wolf Toth traveled to all 50 states to sculpt and donate a large Indianhead from wood. Self-funded from donations and revenue Toth sought to bring awareness to the plight of Native Americans.

The 20-foot statue of a Native American standing in front of the Houston-Love Memorial Public Library was a gift from skilled wood sculptor, Peter Toth. The landmark is an homage to Alabama’s Native American cultures.
