Thermite guarantees an entryway. Hibanna Pellets and Ace Charges can go awry from bad aim, or weird geometry. And Maverik works better for making small holes than actual entry points. In spite if all the counters, a succesful Thermite charge will blast a whole big enough to walk through, without vault animations. It's not much, to be fair.

Situational. Ace can open smaller holes (x3) for peek advantage and thermite opens a whole doorway (x2) for comfy walk through. There's sites where you don't need an entrance but rather a peek hole, so ace is the play and vice versa Both can be used for the same purpose but they're both better in their own ways.

May 18, 2020 · You can pull a thermite charge off a wall, can't retrieve an ACE charge after thrown if it hits a breachable wall. Ace charges are super slow to pop open the full walkable height making it a ton easier to counter via Bandits, Kaids, Impacts, C4's etc.

Yes they do. But the hole they open is so small that I still think Thermite still very relevant. To be honest, I think Hibanna is the most affected by the hard breach charges because after Ace was released her main niche was hatches, but Buck with hard breach charges I would bring over Hibanna for hatch any day because of his added soft vertical capability.

Ace is a nice and easier way to open the walls up with risking much but it’s not a clean cut wall like with thermite’s charge (which I personally prefer thermite over ace) and hibana is good for hatches and good for smaller holes so …
