Yes, Model S UI runs on top of a customized Linux OS. In fact, Elon approached Andy Rubin early on to have Android be the OS for the car, but at the time Android was not capable of what Tesla needed. Per Elon's comments from Germany, Tesla had to roll its own operating system because of the special needs for an automotive OS.

How many kwh of electricity to power a vehicle for 265? 208? 85kwh for an 85? 70kwh for a 70 etc... That is what the 85,70,60 and 40 stand for right???
