Silk is the abandoned daughter of a pirate and a character from Romance Dawn V.1. She aided Monkey D. Luffy in her efforts to defeat Crescent-Moon Gally when he attempted to take over the town she was living in. She said she had heard of Shanks when Luffy mentioned his savior as a child and that he was one of the most famous pirates in the world.

I call her Schierke as I like the name better and more importantly support official media that has her labeled as such (the PS2 game manual for example). The only source of purity and innocence in Berserk, not much competition. She is a breath of fresh air from all the ongoing evil throughout the series.

So I think Silke is what the creator had intended her name to be. I could be wrong. But then again "Silke" does match up with her appearance and general atmosphere to the series. Anyone think this is accurate? If not, kindly tell me.
