Driver must need a LOT of help if he can't run Atlanta with a 4k rpm torque curve. My engine "consultant" ( a Hendrick builder/tuner) sez he can make 950 no problemo with a few mods that NASCAR doesn't allow; why wouldn't you want this?

This video literally spills the beans on the whole build from the block all the way on up. It’s incredible. This goes so far beyond just pulling two rods and pistons out of the back of the engine.

That, and traditional thinking says it would take a huge x large bore and stroke for them to even remotely work on the street.

For the current generation of 358ci engines, NASCAR allows 4.5-inch bore centers but restricts the maximum bore to 4.185.

The heads are where the magic is and you can bolt them onto a traditional small-block Chevrolet block without much effort, but that’s about the only similarity to traditional small-block Chevrolet heads.
