Rackspace continues to gut support and cut corners. I am hearing from buddies that RXT's latest strategy to cut costs is to ditch dedicated account managers and swap them out with a "pool of customer support reps" pitching it as "24x7 fanatical support".

Apr 19, 2023 · Rackspace is hosting the email, but not the DNS so it's not Rackspace's fault. Friend has an email outlining the freshest DKIM. It's been added to the table, but still some weirdness in delivery. Am nearly 24 hrs into the update propagation.

Rackspace, at its core, is still a managed hosting company. They were the best in the business, but managed hosting has a bunch of problems: -It's really expensive. -A lot of control rests with the hosting company, and opening tickets/making changes can take days or even weeks. -Customer environments are all somewhat complex and individualized.

The bouncing of their CEO two months ago - and replacing him with a purely financial guy - should tell you all you need to know about the trajectory of this once-fine company.
