
R1100GS last of the best of BMW - Adventure Rider
Feb 14, 2014 · All I have been reading about are how the 1150's are the "best" or the new "Water Closet" 1200's are the "best, but for the money and in my humble but only opinion that matters, the R1100GS is the progenitor of all that came after. Comparing apples to ape nuts, of the oil or hex heads nothing can hold a candle to the 1100.

Fuel Line Routing - R1100GS | Adventure Rider
Dec 8, 2015 · Sounds like a great project bringing that ’96 R1100GS back to life. Regarding the fuel lines, the top one marked with yellow tape is typically the fuel supply line, it delivers fuel from the pump to the fuel rail. The bottom line, marked with green tape, is usually the return line coming back from the pressure regulator.

Oct 16, 2013 · Keep in mind the R1100gs has a lower first gear, and or final drive ratio, so no need to slip the clutch when off road, or starting off up hill.. - lower gear is much better off road.- and, 100 mph in 3rd gear well below redline, then shift to 4rth, or 5th gear and cruise. not sure what 6th gear is for really. unless your typical cruise speed ...

Tank for R1100GS - Adventure Rider
Jun 22, 2011 · I just finished stripping the inside of my '98 R1100GS tank: the liner was completely shot and clogging the injectors. The bike doesn't sit long so I figured I'd leave the inside bare. I've had bad luck in the past with those tank coating products. Fingers crossed!
R1100/R1150 HES (Hall Effect Sensor) Newbie Guide

No spark. replaced the HES, screwed it up getting it aligned, but got it right eventually, bike ran for a day and then wouldn’t start. thinking I damaged the new HES I ate a new one and installed it with a test light
