Jun 18, 2012 · It is stopped by the expander. The decapping pin is not really removable from the expander/decapping shaft. Everyone else's dies allow the decapping pin to be removed from the expander system. What did I do? Ordered some extra expander/decapper shafts from Lee and ground the pin off the end of them.

Nov 22, 2015 · Right there in the instructions is states that the bottom of the pin should be adjusted so that it extends 3/16" below the die. That should allow proper decapping without the fatter shoulder of the pin coming anywhere near close to the case.

May 31, 2014 · The pin compresses in the hex bolt on top. Use a socket/ratchet on this and a back up wrench on the die itself. When you loosen the top bolt that holds the pin, you should be able to adjust it at that point.

Nov 17, 2018 · I recently broke the "unbreakable" pin in my universal decapping die and Lee was less than helpful. I just ordered a few replacements from Midway and moved on. I think 3 pins were about $10.
