The golden anime is pretty much just a condensed spin-off of the original that focuses on new content added to the golden game. So if you want an adaptation of the story to watch, the persona 4 anime is the best way to go.

The P4G anime does great showing the slice of life aspects of the P4 story rather than the action and serious character relevant content like the OG P4 anime so I think P4G anime is something that should be watched either in tandem or even after the P4 anime just to cover certain in between wholesome moments.

It's main focus is Marie's story with a couple of episodes focused on Adachi. A lot of people described it as "P4 is like playing Persona 4, while P4G is like playing Persona 4 on new game plus."

Jun 5, 2015 · I'm pretty sure someone made a guide on what episodes to watch in which order, but as a general consensus, p4 anime is about p4, p4g anime is more about the extra golden events. I would suggest just watching the P4 anime, then the p4g anime.

The P5 anime is good, but could never match up to the comedy staple that’s P4G, unfortunately. P5’s choices were all basically the same thing worded differently, while P4G’s choices varied from gutsy, stupid or serious, and the anime really showcases the funny more than anything.

Feb 25, 2023 · The P4G anime has a couple of really great episodes focused on Adachi, I think 7 and 8. The vanilla anime is a much better show than P4G, so you might want to watch all of vanilla and then skip to those episodes of P4G if you’re not immediately into it.

The point is that if you romance Marie, it's acknowledged in the true ending but if you romance someone else, it isn't. That and Rise being all over Yu in the anime cut scenes and otherwise are the only overt things in the main narrative that acknowledge Yu's possible romances.
