The Guatemalan-Maya Center is a community-based nonprofit serving uprooted children and families in Florida's Palm Beach County and other areas for over 30 years.

We are a community-based nonprofit that has been supporting Indigenous Guatemalan-Maya and migrant families in Lake Worth Beach and surrounding areas for over 30 years. TGMC was founded by Father Frank O’Loughlin to assist Indigenous Guatemalan-Maya refugees fleeing genocide in Guatemala.

We stand for the belief that the Maya, like all people, have the right to spiritually live in peace and dignity. What began with a commitment to providing prenatal care for indigenous women in Palm Beach County has grown into a network of support for an ever-evolving community.
