Mahendra Baahubali (pronounced: muh-HEN-dra BAA-hoo-BUH-lee), named Shiva (SHI-va) or Shivudu (SHI-voo-doo) by his foster mother, Sanga, is the main protagonist of the Baahubali movie series. He is the son of the late Amarendra Baahubali and Devasena.

The new ruler is Mahendra Bahubali, after defeating Bhallaladeva. Mahishmati kingdom is the epicenter around which the story of Baahubali revolves. It is a vast kingdom, composed of smaller kingdoms and other tribes.
