Oct 20, 2023 · Regular SKS with "duckbill" mags are generally problematic. SKS built for AK mags--Sporter, D and M models--seem to run fine. I've got an old Sporter model that has run 100% with a wide variety of 30 rd AK steel mags through several thousand rounds of whatever was cheap ammo.

Mar 15, 2024 · This is one of the rare SKS models that were factory manufactured to accept standard 7.62x39 AK mags. The model designation "SKS-M" is due to the distinct Montecarlo style stock it came with. (One of the best SKS stocks ever made in my opinion.)
