Aug 21, 2010 · Thallids are really just too slow, it'll take you 10 turns to get set up with a reliable fungus engine, and it doesn't really get rolling unless you have multiple Thallids out with Doubling Season. Aura/Artifact Mutation are good early plays for getting tokens on the board that you can double with Rith or Rhys.

If you focus on Fungus and Saproling, you're going to end up with a +1/+1 counter matters kind of theme. Corpsejack Menace is as such your starting point, as well as the rather expensive Doubling Season .
