Apr 28, 2020 · MK8 was the all new dual extruder hotend setup on the MakerBot Replicator. The cooling bar was thicker than the MK7 but the same all metal thermal barrier and supposedly, the MK8 has slightly different nozzle geometry internally and externally.

The main difference between MK-series nozzles is that MK6, MK7, MK8 uses M6-threads while MK10 uses M7. The wider M7 thread allows for more space internally, to fit a good PTFE tube or just keeping more brass mass to transfer heat more evenly.

What is the functional difference between an e3D-Style nozzle, Makerbot MK8 and M6 Chinesium Nozzles? There is pretty much an ecosystem of two Nozzle designs out there that share the M6 thread on the coupler to the Heating block: the e3D "snub nose" or "shouldered" design.

Jun 26, 2023 · A V6 nozzle is usable in a MK8 heatblock with a 0.5 mm z offset change. Mk8 nozzles will not work in a V6 heatblock. The V6 heatblock uses a shorter threaded part of the heatbreak so compatibility there depends on your heatbreak.

Aug 7, 2020 · MK8 Brass Nozzle. This MK8 brass nozzle is excellent if you want to upgrade your nozzle on a Creality machine. Excellent finish and a fair price for a well machined nozzle. It’s a bit sharper than the T-V6 but this is just for maintaining the same length as a regular MK8 nozzle. It’s a great all-round nozzle for PLA, PETG, TPU and ABS.

Apr 15, 2022 · Mk8 uses an Mk6 thread, while Mk10 uses an Mk7 thread size. This means that 3D printers that use Mk7 extruder can use Mk10 and those compatible with Mk6 are also compatible with mk8. The thread for Mk10 is quite large, with diameters of about 7.7mm.
