The Iron Man Armor Model 30 (Model XXX), famously known as the Extremis Armor, was an armor that appeared in the Extremis Story Arc of the Iron Man Comics, within the Marvel Comics Universe, that was published and created by Marvel Comics.

The armor transmuted by magic. When Iron Man battled the sorcerer dragon Sadurang, the Extremis Armor became infected by magic, causing it to transmute into a medieval armor that allowed Stark to cast spells.

Iron Man's armor and origin as depicted in the 2008 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Iron Man closely resemble those introduced in Extremis. Based on his work on the story arc, artist Adi Granov was brought on as a producer for the film, [ 6 ] who went on to create the final designs for Iron Man's armor. [ 33 ] "

Using a dose of the techno-organic virus Extremis, Iron Man attempted to rewrite the symbiote dragon's DNA to sever its connection from Knull's Hive. In the process of subduing the symbiote, the creature infused itself into Iron Man's Model 70 Armor.
