The game is really balanced so that players might expect to see a single Vex+ rune drop every week of Very Active play, and many weeks of more casual play. On a deep spiritual level, you don't find High Runes in D2/D2R. High Runes find YOU.

You have a spirit calling snail put down for 170,000 runes at the roads end catacombs. That only gives 3,000 runes and the only other one of those is at Spiritcaller's cave where it only give 70,000 runes.

My issue with cows is that unlike seal popping and trav horking, cows really scales with #of players (those others do too, but horking and popping both benefit from being fast and iterative, which being on p1 helps). Aug 19, 2022 · If you really want legit high runes in single player, find a good Lower Kurast map, get a second monitor for a movie or something to listen to, and turn your brain off and run LK like crazy. The runes will drop eventually.
