Jan 16, 2024 · The original STG-44 was not fully fleshed out when it was fielded. Much like the G43, it was overgassed and hard on it's components. Magazines were not 100% reliable either. The PTR-44 that was brought in a decade ago shared the same issues as the original. If you bought one, you expected to get the same reliability as the original.

Oct 28, 2024 · I think a pistol caliber would be more fun, and not 9mm....45acp, 10mm, 44 mag, 45 colt...maybe even .40 s&w as it might breathe new life into that caliber out of a longer barrel. ETA: Or .44 special, it's a great round actually, and would come close to magnum velocities out of the longer barrel.

Nov 9, 2020 · Do you think their Stg-44 clone will ever actually make it to those who have preorders? I'm really glad I didn't put in for one but holy shit did I want to. I'll probably never have the cash to own an original so their version is the closest I probably ever will, assuming they actually make it into people's hands, that is.

Jan 15, 2024 · PSA has picked-up where HMG left-off. Presumably with formerly HMG's tooling. Redesigning the rifle to be a clone of an actual StG44 would not only require additional funds, but waste the capital investment they made on the HMG package.
