Before I just go out and try to find a tool box from Home Depot/Lowes for my gun cleaning supplies – I might as well run it by you guys just in case there’s some cool new-fangled storage type box specifically made for this purpose. So show me what you got/use for your gun cleaning supplies.
What's the best cleaning kit/solution for Glocks??
Sep 25, 2012 · Ultrasonic cleaning is the way to go. Quick, easy and no harsh chemicals needed. Just re-lube once cleaning is complete. At least for Glocks, you can even put the frame into the cleaner without removing the internals as there is no place for water to get trapped.

Sep 18, 2013 · So, yes, use the "CLP"/clp product to do your cleaning, as well. Seal1 and Frog Lube are clp products. So they Clean, Lube and Protect. Being organic in nature, these do not play well with Hydrocarbon based cleaning products (everything else on the market). Stuff like Hoppes will eat away the Froglube/Seal1. thank, Dave

Oct 21, 2014 · For anybody who hasn't watched the Hickok45 method here is the basic cleaning method he uses which is exactly what I over heard a Glock cert Armor at a GSSF match this past weekend say. The Armor was cleaning somebody's gun and slide striped everything out and it was dirty gunky. He told him not to oil anything from the ejection port back.

Apr 12, 2016 · For the frame, I brush it with a dry toothbrush, then clean where required with qtips dampened in either rubbing alcohol or ballistol. (see the hickok45 cleaning video). If I am cleaning my gun inside my home, i use ballistol for everything due to the strong fumes of hoppes.

May 21, 2015 · I have a lot of bandanas, so I use two of those, a toothbrush (time for a new 1) ,a bronze bore brush, cleaning patches. At least that's what I have now. I have a separate .30 rifle kit which I'm thinking about consolidating.....nah. Oh yeah my bandana seems to leave little to no lint

Here is my routine and I only strip down every 500 rounds or so. While at the range and the upper is warm I do the following: Using "REM Wipes" I slip off the slide and remove the barrel.

Apr 26, 2013 · Secondly, having ammo on your cleaning table, can make your ammo dummy rounds, that will misfire. The solvents in gun cleaners, can get into the ammo, and render it useless or dangerous. If the primer goes off but not the powder, you can get a squib, and that can set up a subsequent shot that will blow up your gun!
