Feb 15, 2012 · You shooting competition? Stick to your 2nd gen Glock and replacement recoil assemblies. Get factory parts and you have no worries. I should be up to date on this, but took my class between the 3rd and 4th gen Glocks. I do not think the 4th gen parts are compatible. Stick close to your original specs and parts. Best way to play it safe.

Sep 18, 2024 · She likes the grip on them. Her Glock 17 was a Gen 2, she preferred the no finger groove option. On the longer grip 19s or 17s, the bottom groove did not fit her hand, so picking a no finger groove Glock was a better option for her. She likes the Gen 5s too. Just my 2 cents worth regarding different Glock generations.

Jan 27, 2008 · I have carried a 2nd gen G23 for 11 years and it my steady companion. The difference between 2-3 gens is the acc. rail, and the grip on the 3rd has finger grooves. I use a Hogue Handall with mine and love it. Only you can decide if the extra 1/2" is a big deal. I carry the Glock +2 mag extension in mine and have no trouble concealing it. NCH

Jan 24, 2015 · Turning Gen 3 into Gen 2 Removing uncomfortable grip humps, Glock 36 after my "enhancement". This Glock grip always felt too long (front to back), removing the grip protrusions made a difference. I use bicycle tube, so it is pictured that way.

Jan 25, 2025 · The Glock 42 ejected the empty casings in my wife's face. I was out checking our FOP Range that I am responsible for and a member had a new S&W Bodyguard 2.0. I didn't have time to shoot it, but it seems like a possible contender in the Glock 42/ LCP Max category. The member shot a pretty nice group with it at the 7 yd line.

Sep 6, 2019 · For CCW Glocks the grip angle doesn't bother me, I like the reliability and simplicity, stock triggers seem to give me issues on pre gen 4's (usually just need to smooth up the safety lever) gen 4's and newer do work better as their grip allows me to get my short fingers completely on the trigger BUT I like a thumb safety on a carry gun.
