"Birth" is episode 86 of the Berserk manga series. Together, the God Hand, Void, Conrad, Ubik and Slan welcome the fifth and final member among their ranks: Femto. Griffith does not resemble his former self.

In return, he is reborn as the fifth member of the God Hand, Femto — a demonic evolution of himself free from human inhibitions. Eventually, he incarnates in the Physical World, [17] focusing solely on realizing his dream.

After being tortured, however, Griffith used the Eclipse to sacrifice his entire band and was later reborn as Femto, the fifth and final member of the God Hand. He is the arch-nemesis of Guts and Casca.

Jul 19, 2016 · Right after Femto "hatches", while he's still coated in blood, we see the hawk helm part of his head gape, like a baby crying after it's born. I always found this detail interesting, since that panel, and that panel alone, depicts the hawk helm AS Femto's face.

Feb 13, 2013 · Femto is the spiritual form of Griffith's ego, after he is reborn as the fifth God Hand at the eclipse (volume 13). Even further down the line, Femto becomes reincarnated as Griffith Reborn (volume 21), using Guts/Casca's demonic child as a fleshly vessel.

If Femto's birth literally needed all the matter from the Band of the Falcon's bodies, then there wouldn't be a lake of blood and entrails left behind. We see blood being pumped into Femto's cocoon, but clearly not all of it is needed, that applies to Guts and Casca as well.
