Get a bonus to ability scores of your choice, so can get a good CHA; have a ramming ability so you always have a weapon (better for early game but still); can jump further; advantage on saves against magic; and innate proficiency in Persuasion, Performance, and 1 musical instrument, all typical bard stuff.

Nov 25, 2016 · Seems balanced to me, only thing I'd suggest is some more flavorful racial bonuses like most 5e sub-races have, like maybe an increased speed for the deer faun, or advantage on constitution checks relating to forced marches for the horse fawn for example.

Jun 20, 2023 · Technically material in 5e places playable satyrs as having human lifespans, but iirc the monster manual contradicts that for NPC satyrs who can be several hundred years old. In previous editions they've had lifespans anywhere from 500 years to as long as elves, or even just not dying from old age.
