The Edlu Race was named after LYC Commodore Rudolph Schaefer’s Sparkman & Stephens-designed 56-foot cutter. Edlu was launched in 1934 and three weeks later won the Bermuda Race, setting up a successful racing career.

10.2 The Edlu is a qualifier for the Tuna Trophy. This trophy will be awarded to the boat racing ORC with the best combined score in the Edlu and the Block Island Race.

Then, when you come back to LYC for the afterparty, you can inspect the new J Boats J/7 off the front dock.
