This OTS "183" is a tribute to the Dumble amp SN #183. Much more aggressive OD with lesser cleans than the OTS and S&M versions. Brighter than the OTS and S&M, this aggressive amp has more compression also than previous versions.

Nov 25, 2010 · FINALLY got both Quinn clones and the actual Dumble together last night! My Verdict??? First off, Shad, THANK you. Shad has totally nailed the incredible tones of #183. Between the three amps, it as actually stupid to try and pick which sounded "better", as it was three of the same thing.

Nov 26, 2010 · Therefore, you should only build a Dumble amp if you are a skillfull builder, earning a relatively low wage all other people should much rather buy a Redplate, Bludo, VVT, Glaswerks or Fuchs.... Its much cheaper in the long run.

Jul 8, 2019 · Good luck with your #183 build! Let us know what all you decide to use and how it comes out. Sorry I never got around to finishing that BOM I started to put together. Life/work got hectic so I had to step away for amps for a while! that's why I haven't been around here much. It's a fun circuit to play around with. LOTS of gain.

New old stock dumble 183 combo with Celestron red back. All new old stock, comes with loopalator. Never gigged, pristine. Amp is voiced is sustain and sing almost endlessly. Sounds wonderfully full, warm singing sustain. I play straight in with no pedals. Comes with pre amp boost, fet, midboost.

The Ceriatone Overtone Special “183” 50 is a clone of a very unique “D” amplifier that marked the transition from high-plate non-HRM amplifiers to the HRM topology that featured EL34s. If you’re familiar with the circuit design of “D” amplifiers, you’ll notice how…err…different #183 is.
