The M416, the last of the military 1/4 ton Jeep trailers, can be distinguished from earlier 1/4 ton trailers by its squared fenders. There were two later versions, the M416A1 and the M416B1.

Sep 8, 2013 · The current size is a 295/75/16 Nitto TG mounted on a Toyota FZJ80 16x8 with backspacing that works on the 4R but not on the trailer so much as they stick out a bit. Matching wheels and tire look cool but I really don’t need the 295’s on the trailer. The trailer is sprung over and allows decent ground clearance w/o a spare.

Apr 8, 2012 · My attempt was to reuse the M416 rims and install civilian tires. I "thought" I had two options. 1. Use a civilian LT225/75-R16 (first choice), LT 215/85-R16, or 235/70-R16 on the factory M416 rim without a tube. 2. Use the same civilian tires and reuse the original tube that I have and reinstall onto the factory M416 rims.
