Jun 22, 2017 · So... this is a non shrink wrapped dorudon. I made it look like a whale more then a skin and bone monster. I have it toe nails like what manatees have because dorudon is an early whale and why not add it.

Here's a close-up of dorudon atrox who is part of my illustration that shows the evolution of toothed whales. Now we're seeing a big shift towards the modern-day whale look that we know today. They are fully aquatic and excellent predators.

Apr 11, 2013 · The first is a reconstruction of Dorudon atrox. Dorudon is an extinct whale ancestor in the family Basilosauridae that lived approximately 33 million years ago during the Eocene. Unlike modern cetaceans, these early whales still exhibited hind-limbs as adults.
