Dec 11, 2021 · The default config for dosbox will try to set the output to VGA, what should™ work but apparently doesn't on your setup and isn't all that great anyway. Edit ~/.dosbox/dosbox-0.74-3.conf and try eg. "fullresolution=desktop" and "output=opengl", you might have to fix the aspect.

May 21, 2018 · In full screen mode the mouse and the special keys work but my mouse cursor will constantly flicker in the center of the screen. I've reinstalled dosbox and replaced it with the Dosbox SVN on the AUR, but neither fixed the problems. These are the packages recently updated around the time it stopped working:

Aug 7, 2005 · For midi to work in dosbox (or any other app) you need an audio card that supports midi. Most onboard cards (and even many pci-cards) don't have hardware midi support. The solution is to install a soundfont and a software midi player. I use timidity++ (extra) and fluidr3 from AUR, but you can find several other soundfonts in the aur.
