On the front sight is says 609, on the barrel it says 2/95 under the handguars and it is stamped C MP556NATO 1/7 It has a pinned sear block that says COLT, 2 position plastic CAR stock, extractor has a blue insert.

Dec 11, 2018 · So, I bought a Colt model 6520 carbine. They are marked "A2 Government Carbine". They are all black, small front take down pin, and the fixed carry handle A2 upper. Then I swapped out the 16" carbine barrel with a 20" Colt M16 A2 Government barrel. Then I also swapped out the carbine stock assembly for a Colt A2 rifle stock assembly.

When these ran out they used the new C7 style uppers with fwd assist and the case deflector. Colt calls the upper an M16A2 upper with field sights and it was still available from Colt as late as 2002/2003 on the limited run 6320 LE carbine.

I bought it new in the box from a guy in Mass who had a gun store in his basement, but my Colt Archive letter says it was shipped to Kinsler Police supply in Indiana, for the McHenry County Sheriffs ...
