Boxer, then known as GTK/MRAV/PWV, was unveiled on 12 December 2002. The name Boxer was announced when the second prototype appeared. At this time the first production run was to have been 200 for each country.

Jan 21, 2021 · Boxer is an 8×8 multirole armoured vehicle (MRAV) managed by the European Armaments Agency, Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR). The MRAV has the capability to operate in both high-intensity conflict as well as in relief and humanitarian operations.

The Boxer armoured transport vehicle is being produced under a bi-national programme. Highly mobile, it is a state-of-the-art wheeled vehicle whose modular design permits a wide variety of mission-specific configurations.

Dec 1, 2024 · The Boxer is specially hardened to survive a tactical nuclear explosion at medium distances. In option, the Boxer can be equipped with a navigation system, smoke grenade launcher, rearview camera, and crew seats with airbags.

Boxer 8x8 is an armored fighting vehicle jointly developed by Germany and the Netherlands. Also known as GTK Boxer (gepanzertes Transport-Kraftfahrzeug meaning armoured transport vehicle), this heavy 8x8 APC is manufactured by ARTEC GmbH.

In the UK, the vehicle is known as the Multi-Role Armoured Vehicle (MRAV), while in Germany it is referred to as the Gepanzertes Transport Kraftfahrzeug (GTK). The Netherlands subsequently joined the programme and the vehicle has now been named Boxer.
