May 21, 2018 · Just bought a 2018 X3 with the Driver Assistance Package and on a recent trip I noticed the passenger side blind spot monitor only works about 50% of the time. If I pass another car, sometimes the triangle will light up in the mirror, other times, it wont.

Nov 23, 2016 · Likely a dumb question, but just got an awesome 40e. Has lane departure and pedestrian warnings, but no blind spot warning. Dang, I thought it came with that but found out too late it didn't. Is there any way for the dealer to add this after the fact? Or does this need to be done at the factory? If the latter, will go with the $2 mirrors. Thanks!

Oct 15, 2015 · driver side blind spot side monitoring problem, BMW X5 I have brand new BMW X5 and noted several issues. Passenger side blind spot detection is not working well. Most of the time, it does not register even big semi truck. It is ridiculous to have such important safety feature defective in new car.

Feb 8, 2013 · The Active Blind Spot Detection has two radar sensors below the rear bumper to monitor the area behind and next to the vehicle at speeds above approx. 30 mph/50 kmh. This has saved me on a quite a few occasions from changing lanes at the wrong time.

Mar 6, 2019 · To rehash an old thread, I have a 2019 F36 and am experiencing the same issue with Active Blind Spot Detection malfunction. I am at the service center at my dealership for an oil change and diagnosis of this. I mentioned this scenario to my service coordinator who went back to the shop to discuss this with the technician.

Jan 27, 2018 · It's blind spot works awesome, it also looks for vehicles that are far back approaching quickly which is twice as useful as regular blind spot monitor with limited distance detection. I just think my X5 fell really short in the safety tech department.
