Oct 15, 2016 · That is, for some reason, BMW offers crash bars for the front end of the C 400 X but not for the slightly different front end of the C 400 GT. In addition to the Ultimate Alps Tour this past July, in May of 2022 I also rode C 400 X models for the Edelweiss Tuscany and Vienna tours, and those scoots had the same OEM crash bars.

Important tip for the oil filter tube/screen: put a screwdriver through the middle when you guide it back into the bike after cleaning it, and make sure it is anchored in position before you pull the screwdriver back out, or else the oil filter tube can fall into the bowels of the bike.

In addition, I like the look of the scooter and am looking for something under 400cc; however, reliability is absolutely paramount. I would be using the scooter for a daily commute of over a hundred miles (mixed motorway, country and city roads).

Oct 5, 2019 · I have owned the Honda Silverwing scooter, Burgman 650 scooter, and the BMW C650GT scooter. Best performance: BMW 650GT. Handles like a BMW. I didn't like the B650 scooter mainly because of the terrible electrically controlled CVT system. The Honda Silverwing and BMW both use a flyweight system to control the variable drive system.
