Jan 27, 2008 · We know the ITB's are capable of flowing up to 292cfm each so if the MAF elimination works as the Manufacturer claims, we may all be a little surprised what the 2.5ltr will do in N/A Mode! Nothing like the sound of a set of ITB's on a 6 Cylinder Motor!

Aug 20, 2010 · BMW uses ITB's for two reasons: 1) Throttle response and 2) cool factor. This is directly from the mouth at someone in the M division. They might even provide a small advantage in flow at higher RPM's where real Sxx motors are designed to shine, but they will not yield measurable gains; power comes from the head design.

Mar 1, 2023 · If I were to use an inline 6 I would likely go for either a Barra I6(or one of its earlier versions, such as the Intech or even just a crossflow I6) or I would go for the Jaguar AJ6.

and maybe even some ITB's? The N52 has Valvetronic; the one throttle body it has is fully open during normal engine operation so there's no point to replacing that with ITBs.

Aug 24, 2023 · ITB's I'd probably find two sets of I6 ITB's from a BMW E46 M3 and sort out adapter plates and throttle linkages and synchronization hardware from there.

May 1, 2011 · Buy some used M3 or M5 itb's (or other inline 6 itb, like Nissan Skyline). Those are much cheaper than dbilas or other bolt-on system's (about 500$ in our country). You have to do an adapter from a stock manifold, but if you do it will be still cheaper than others.
