The Odin 2 has enough power to push the resolution on these systems far beyond the point of diminishing returns for most games. If you want to make them look even better, you're better off using HD texture packs at 2x or 3x rez than uprezzing to absurd 8k resolutions that the screen can't even display.

Nice review, the fact the Odin 2 has Wifi 7, pretty good storage, a processor that can hit every single emulator released so far, and the weeks long battery life got me excited. The $300 price sold me unequivocally though.

Vibrancy is an attribute that in color science is called saturation. The Ayn Odin 2 uses the wrong color spectrum (DCI-P3), uncorrected, while all 6 to 8 generations (depends if you want to count Android native games and Switch games) of games, its supposed to emulate, use sRGB. Which means, on the Ayn Odin 2 ALL COLORS are oversaturated.

I am planning on getting the Odin 2 but if I do get one I’ll be selling the my switch in order to fund it. My switch already sits in my drawer since I play my switch games on my Ally lol. Odin 2 will obviously run on Android which has limitations with having higher end emulators available while the steam deck will have any emulator available on it.
