Padmé tracks Anakin, now Darth Vader, to Mustafar and tries to persuade him to abandon the dark side, but Anakin refuses, and Force chokes her unconscious when Obi-Wan arrives. Padmé gives birth to her children shortly after the first Empire Day, whom she calls Luke and Leia.

The Naberrie family was a human family native to the planet Naboo in the Mid Rim region of the galaxy. Though of humble beginnings, a member of the family, Padmé Naberrie, became a prominent political figure during the Fall of the Republic, beginning with her election as the Monarch of Naboo.

After he became a member of the Jedi Order, Padmé and Anakin did not see each other for ten years, but Padmé still saw him as a child that she didn't want to grow up. Anakin had became an adult when Padmé saw him for the first time in ten years.
