What is the Alpine Slide? Our Alpine Slide is an adventure ride that is accessed via the Bridge Chairlift. Guests will ride to the top of Eagle Mountain and once there will grab a sled for ½ mile course down the mountain.

We’ve been sliding since 1976! The Smoky Mountain Bobsled (Alpine Slide) continues to be a huge hit at Ober Mountain. Take the Scenic Chairlift to the midway point, then once you unload, your “chariot” awaits! These sled-like carts have a push/pull lever so you can control your speed as you wind down either of the 1800’ parallel tracks.

Alpine Bobsled (formerly known as Sarajevo Bobsled and Rolling Thunder) was a steel bobsled roller coaster at the Six Flags Great Escape and Hurricane Harbor amusement park in Queensbury, New York. Manufactured by Intamin, the coaster first opened to the public in 1984 at Six Flags Great Adventure.
