Lum (ラム, Ramu?), sometimes called Lum Invader, is the female protagonist of Urusei Yatsura. She is a Oni alien hailing from the planet Oniboshi. She was chosen to represent her kind in a game of tag against a human named Ataru Moroboshi to determine the fate of planet Earth.

She is named Lamu in Animax's English-language dub of the series, and in the Italian and French anime dubs as well; however she is still called "Lum" in the Spanish anime dub.

It tells the story of Ataru Moroboshi, and the alien Lum, who believes she is Ataru's wife after he accidentally proposes to her. The series makes heavy use of Japanese mythology, culture, and puns.

Lum (also referred to in English dubs as Lamù) is a beautiful Oni alien who is capable of flying and generating electrical shocks. She is extremely popular and is famous for ending her sentences with ~datcha (loosely translated as "yes?" or "you know?").

Urusei Yatsura (うる星やつら) is a franchise that spawned from a manga by Rumiko Takahashi. The franchise revolves around Ataru Moroboshi, a flirtatious human, and Lum, an alien girl who is infatuated with Ataru. Takahashi published a one-shot titled Katte na Yatsura, for which she was awarded the Shogakkan New Comics Award.

In a race deciding whether alien oni will take over the Earth, he ends up representing Earth. His opponent? Lum, an oni girl! Despite the weight of the world on his shoulders, Ataru's stupidity (and lechery) get the better of him, and before he knows it, he and Lum are now married!

Lum is royalty and the daughter of the Oni alien Invader and is capable of flying and generating massive electrical discharges.

I liked this character but I hate that they justify everything she does because "it's comedy" when she is a horrible character, envious, possessive, jealous and above all, Ataru never loved her, if he took a liking to her it wasn't because he was in love, it's just what he had to do and with all the pressure, because who Ataru really loves is Shinobu.
