It does have BHO, but there is enough slop in the ar maglock that when in BHO it is easy for the sliver of metal on the ar maglock to not line up with the tiny crack between the upper and lower. Other than having to permanently modify the lower, the houge solution is clearly the best.

May 27, 2020 · AR mag lock paired with the king pin is a good combo as you keep your bolt catch and can open the action with the bolt locked back. JT rear take down pin does not allow for opening with the bolt back

Mar 2, 2023 · The AR Maglock part works as a mag release button and needs the receivers slightly separated in order to be pushed in. With the AR Maglock part you can still use a standard bolt catch. If you're talking about my LWRC, then no, LWRC uses a different maglock/bolt catch which is similar to Hogues Freedom fighter kit. hope this answers it!

May 12, 2024 · Now the good news: AR maglock kinpin does work with the original detent pin although it seems to be thicker than the detent pin from AR maglock. For any CA ADM UIC MOD2 user who want to install AR maglock kingpin, my advice is to use pivot pin depressor to remove the original takedown pin and install the kingpin directly.

When using AR MAGLOCK products in New York, ALWAYS ensure you have permanently installed them using red Loctite. Our products are NOT designed to be removed, EVER. CT's AWB is written differently than California's and New York's AWB. What is legal in CA and NY may not be legal in CT.

AR maglock gen 2 + kingpin is the best option IMO for being fixed mag and still able to reload at a reasonable speed for anything serious. yes you can only use 10 rounds at a time so if you really want max firepower a featureless would be the way to go.

Nov 20, 2020 · Hogue Freedom Fighter is so much better than AR Maglock Gen 4. I shot my rifle with Gen 4 once and immediately knew it was not a good option. Freedom Fighter was leaps and bounds better. I filed down the pin because I could not release the mag if the bolt was locked to the rear. Now it requires just the tiniest space to allow the mag to drop.
