Megan Bayne and AEW are currently in talks to start a new contract feels like a pretty normal timeline and people just assumed she was still under contract because TK spoke about her during this free agency. maybe they even have a verbal agreement and that's why everyone is so comfortable saying she's "an AEW wrestler"

Megan Bayne could finally be on her way back to AEW. Bayne has been under AEW contract for years, as she was sidelined with an injury for quite some time, but put under an AEW deal. At the urging of AEW management, she sought out additional bookings after returning, and became a standout in Stardom.

Megan, Billie, Skye, Julia, Stat, Willow, Jamie, and probably a few others I’m forgetting, would all do incredible work elsewhere. Most of them would be perfect to add depth and experience to the NXT women’s division, and Jamie would instantly be one of the best performers in any women’s division (or women’s promotion) in the world.
