The disposal of what Paris police called an “excessively dangerous” unexploded World War II bomb caused hours of transportation chaos Friday on rail and road networks in the French capital, including the suspension of high-speed train links with London and Brussels.

Eurostar will resume services to and from Paris on Saturday after a World War II-era bomb found under tracks outside the French capital halted traffic at Gare du Nord station.

All 32 trains scheduled to run between London and Paris on Friday have been cancelled, wrecking travel plans for thousands of passengers. But extra services have been added to Saturday's timetable.
