More than 100 years after the construction of the engineering marvel that linked the Atlantic and Pacific oceans — and 25 years after the canal was returned to Panama by the US — the Panama Canal faces renewed intimidation from US President Donald Trump.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of West Michigan through Tuesday evening. The heaviest snow will fall closer to the lakeshore with lower amounts the further east you go. This will be very light and fluffy snow due to frigid temperatures. That means the snow will easily blow around and could create whiteouts.

ORIGINAL: Lake Effect Snow Warning for Southern Erie, Wyoming, and Cattaraugus Counties now through 10 a.m. Wednesday. This will be a long-lasting event and snow amounts in some areas will be in the range of 1 to 2 feet.

It’s another round of lake effect snow in Northern New York and that means closings and delays. A number of schools, businesses and organizations in Southern Jefferson and Northern Lewis counties. Here’s a list of what we have so far and we’ll update that through the day.
