Actor Priyanka Chopra, who has always supported fellow South Asian artists, has showered praise on actor, producer, and screenwriter Mindy Kaling, who has officially received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"The Mindy Project" co-star Ike Barinholtz, "The Office" U.S. creator Greg Daniels and on-screen boyfriend B.J. Novak attended Kaling's star ceremony.

Writer, actor, producer and comedian Mindy Kaling received the 2,800th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday (February 18). Kaling hit the big time writing and acting on NBC's 'The Office', for which she was the first woman of color to be nominated in the writing category at the Emmys.
