With Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass delaying the city’s plans to remove all checkpoints for access to Pacific Palisades along Pacific Coast Highway until Monday, visitors were still stopped at multiple sites heading into the fire-ravaged community in Sunday. A county supervisor expressed frustration, declaring the move a last-minute surprise.

After Pacific Palisades residents expressed concerns that their neighborhoods will be open to the public, Mayor Karen Bass on Saturday announced that law enforcement checkpoints will remain in place.

Although the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu reopened on Sunday, the general public is still not allowed into the Palisades area, causing some confusion among drivers. KTLA's Rachel Menitoff speaks with residents in the area on Feb.
