San Antonio and Texas residents have just hours left to prepare for what could be the "coldest weather event of the year." A strong Arctic cold front is making its way through the state, bringing with it frigid temperatures all the way towards South Texas.

Most of Texas will not see wintry precipitation as an arctic cold front surges through the state, but there are a few exceptions.

The arctic front will move through the region late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Wind chills could fall to the teens by early Thursday.
