Bill Belichick offered LeGarrette Blount Jr., son of Patriots Super Bowl champion LeGarrette Blount, a scholarship at UNC

The eldest Blount played for Belichick for four seasons from 2013 to 2016. He won three Super Bowls while with the Patriots as their power and short-yardage running back. He racked up 6306 rushing yards over his career while adding 56 touchdowns.

As Bill Belichick continues to build up his program at the University of North Carolina, the ex-Patriots head coach is looking to bring in a familiar name to Chapel Hill in the years ahead. “Blessed to receive my 2nd D1 offer from North Carolina!!,” Blount Jr. posted on Instagram.

LeGarrette Blount Jr. has received an offer from the Tar Heels, the class of 2028 prospect announced on social media. The son of the Patriots standout running back with the same name, Blount plays defensive back and wide receiver at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.

Since taking over as the head coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels earlier this offseason, Bill Belichick has been getting settled and making the program his own.
