One person has died following an interstate crash in east Alabama.The accident happened around 11 a.m. Monday near mile maker 73 on Interstate 85 North.The deadly crash caused the right lane of the roadway and the shoulder to be blocked for an extended period while crews worked to clear the scene.

A Birmingham-based provider of addiction treatment and recovery services recently filed oppositions against major expansion proposals from other recovery centers across Alabama. The proposals, which were submitted to Alabama’s Statewide Health Coordinating Council (SHCC), were opposed by Bradford Health Services.

A bill banning Glock switches has been passed by both chambers in Alabama. It’ll go back to the Senate after the House made changes to some of the wording.

According to a Chambers County Sheriff’s investigator, the attack occurred in the 5100 Block of 16th Street SW. The woman was transported to East Alabama Medical Center for treatment.

The Chambers County Commissioners approved a resolution expressing their support for the county’s local pharmacies and their legislative battle against pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs) on Monday night.
