Two people were seriously injured after a wrong-way crash on the southbound 405 Freeway in Inglewood Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert around 3:49 a.m. for all southbound lanes. All lanes were open shortly after 5 a.m.

Police said a man was shot dead in Inglewood as he tried to intervene in an attempted catalytic converter theft. Family have identified the man as Juan Sanchez, 48.

The Inglewood Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead Tuesday morning. Police said the shooting took place around 3:22 a.m. on the 1000 block of North Chester Avenue. The man was shot in his chest and later died due to his injuries.
